Floral Care

How to keep your Twigs arrangement looking its best

Fresh flowers are a little like house guests — they thrive with just the right conditions and a bit of attention. To help your arrangement stay beautiful for as long as possible, here are a few care tips we recommend to all our customers.

💧 Keep Them Hydrated

Flowers drink more than you’d think — all the way up their stems, in fact.
Make sure your vase stays full with clean, room-temperature water. Top it off daily if needed, and if you received a loose wrap or bouquet, get those stems into water as soon as you get home.

☀️ Avoid Direct Sunlight

While flowers love light, too much sun can cause them to wilt faster.
Place your arrangement somewhere bright but out of direct sunlight — especially in warmer months.

❄️ Skip the Fridge

Despite the myth, your refrigerator isn’t a safe haven for flowers. While our fresh made arrangements are kept in floral coolers until the time they leave our shop our refridgerators don’t have any food in them which is the worst environment for stems. Cross contamination in you fridge from leftovers, fruits, and veggies can spoil your stems quickly.

🔥 Mind the Heat

Keep flowers away from vents, heaters, and fireplaces. Warm, dry air can dehydrate stems quickly. That charming sunny windowsill? Probably too intense for most blooms. On top of a wine fridge? They put off too much heat. Your arrangement will look great on the coffee table, kitchen island, or as the certerpiece to your dining room.

🧼 A Little Maintenance Goes a Long Way

If any stems start to reach the end of their life, feel free to remove them — it keeps the rest of the arrangement fresh and tidy and lasting longer.
